Friends of Fort Knox                    2025 Individual Membership

   The Friends of Fort Knox became a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit in 1992 (over 30 years ago) with the mission to preserve the Fort and enhance its educational, cultural, and economic value for the people of Maine.  Under separate lease agreements with Maine DoT and the Maine Bureau of Parks & Lands respectively, FoFK began managing the PNBO in 2007 and assumed management of the Fort Knox Historic Site entirely in 2012.  Our non-profit status allows FoFK to raise funds to operate and maintain the Fort and its grounds and continue major preservation/repair projects without state funding.
